Structural Health Monitoring (Building Structure Integrity and Assessment)
Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity (UPV) Test
UPV Test is a non-destructive testing (NDT) method used to assess the quality and integrity of concrete structures.
Why UPV Testing?
- Detecting cracks, voids, and honeycombing.
- Assessing uniformity and segregation.
- Ensuring quality control in new and existing structures.
How It Works?
UPV measures the speed of ultrasonic waves passing through concrete. Higher velocity indicates denser and stronger concrete, while lower velocity may suggest defects or inconsistencies.
Key Benefits
- Non-destructive – No damage to structures
- Quick & Accurate – Immediate results for analysis
- Reliable – Helps in early defect detection and maintenance planning
Structural Inspection and Integrity Test
Column Structural Monitoring
- Monitor the structural performance or integrity of column using Distributed Fibre Optic Strain and Temperature Sensors.
- Monitor the induced stress and strain in the column during construction and permanent stages.
Building Vibration Monitoring
Vibration testing to determine the vibration behaviour. Accelerometers can be utilized in x, y, and z directions to capture the response.
Temperature Monitoring
Temperature monitoring using Thermocouple Sensors and Distributed Fibre Optic Temperature Sensor.
