Full-Scale Structure Testing

Full scale structure testing is conducted to evaluate the actual performance of structural elements under realistic loading conditions. These tests provide direct verification of design assumptions, construction quality, and load carrying capacity, offering a high level of confidence for critical infrastructure projects.

Our capabilities include testing of large structural elements such as beams and foundation systems using controlled loading methods and advanced instrumentation to capture accurate structural response.

U-Beam Load Testing

We performed load testing on full scale precast beams, including structures up to 32 metres in length. These tests are carried out to evaluate deflection behaviour and overall structural performance under simulated service conditions.

This testing was conducted following an incident involving a launcher beam collapse, which impacted the underlying beam structure. The assessment was performed to verify the integrity and performance of the affected structural element.

RC Pile and Spun Pile - Bending Test

Full scale bending and load testing of reinforced concrete piles and spun piles are conducted to evaluate structural performance, strength, and durability under loading conditions.

The testing programme also includes validation of measurement techniques, where distributed fibre optic strain sensing is compared with conventional strain gauges to assess accuracy and reliability.

Testing can be carried out on pile lengths up to 12 metres or more, depending on project requirements.
